Just a sneak peek–Erin and Jeff.

This was the most beautiful bride and groom-both inside and out. Can’t wait to show them all. With another wedding to shoot today-there will only be sneak peeks for now.

We celebrated her birthday together. Family. Family has a way of remembering and adding and growing more and more into a circle. We came together to celebrate family.

But somehow–somehow–it was this little guy that put the icing on Andrea’s cupcakes!

…And we did have cupcakes–!

…And pie!

Allen had his first taste of whipped cream–and if you haven’t already guessed…

The center of attention was Allen–

The heritage this boy has – starts with his Great Nana and Pop–Andrea’s grandma and grandpa Leslie.

and…his grandpa Leslie.

And of course–Lindsey will always be watching over him with his Grandma Sandy.

This boy will have a lot of accountability in his life–from his Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jim and Aunt Bethany–to his new cousin soon to be born. The family grows…

This boy really doesn’t stand a chance…his (not so great) Nana and Papa-and Uncle Adam and Aunt Catie–will be watching out for him too.

Adam promises to tell him about John 3:16 and to teach him some baseball.

I think I am at a distinct advantage or disadvantage–depending on how you look at it–for this week’s P52 Challenge. This is my Cabin Fever this year–just waiting for the waves to come. It is winter and the sea is calm-no surfing or big waves to dive into–I know–I am sure you all feel sorry for me. My son asked me what my photo challenge was for this week-when I told him it was Cabin Fever–He said, “What’s that?”

I had some fun with this one–I have been wanting to do a color palette for a while now since seeing them on Pinterest. I love the colors of the sand and sea–and I love them even more all put together like this. I think this will be pinned to my Pinterest board.

True Love::Meeting my grandson for the first time–yes, true love.

I will have a lot more pictures to post in the coming days–weeks–months–years:) I have had so much fun editing these photos and I have decided that I love taking Newborn shots-so peaceful and sweet-but I had an amazing subject.

Every year when we come here to Paradise-someone gives me Meyer Lemons. They are above lemons somewhere between ambrosia and chocolate-and there is nothing like them. Sometimes I don’t eat dinner because I drink too much lemonade–that’s what you do in Paradise. You pretend it is a carefree summer day-everyday-and you drink lemonade! Drink up!

Perfect Lemonade Recipe
Prep time: 10 minutes
INGREDIENTS
1 cup sugar (can reduce to 3/4 cup)
1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
1 cup Meyer lemon juice
3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)
METHOD
1 Make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.
2 While the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.
3 Add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.
Serve with ice, sliced lemons.

Shadows is the theme for this weeks P52-Project. I have never examined shadows in my photos in particular. I have seen reflections and silhouettes-but shadows-
I love palm trees and I take way too many photos of them-but this was different-and I love the way the shadow was so defined against the green.

It was an interesting challenge and I will look for shadows more often.

Shadows in the sunlight are dreamy and clear.
Shadows in the dark are eerie and uncertainty abounds.
I much prefer to stay in the light-

I see lots of people with their cameras in front of their faces and I think it says a lot what is inside. I save memories with my camera-it is by my side everyday. It is my eyes-I see the world through this lens-my camera gives me a perspective and I like the perspective-

No-you can’t see my eyes-but I do.

I dreamed a dream a long time ago–and it keeps on coming true.

These two keep giving me all of my dreams and to think it all started with just a dream-a thought-that maybe-maybe-we could make a difference–but really–they are the ones who made the difference–

I really do love a theme to follow with my picture a week goal for this year. It gives me focus and a goal. I knew immediately what I wanted to use for this weeks photo.

I am going to be a Nana for the first time in just a few weeks-the due date is February 6-and I have been working on this quilt for him. All my kids were ‘blankie’ kids and I wanted him to have one from his Nana.

As you can see, I am still working on it-there are a lot of seams to cut–here is the tutorial I found on Pinterest(Gotta love). It has been a fun project and it is certainly-Made With Love–
